Coach review policy

One overall review per coach
Each student may submit one overall review of a coach based on first-hand private coaching experience. The coach must attest that the reviewer is a real student who trained privately with them, and the student must confirm that relationship through the private invitation. Additional training does not create another review.
Honest requests and reviews
Instructors should request one review consistently from each real student who trained privately with them, regardless of expected sentiment. No one may pay for, trade, pressure, gate, coordinate, or condition a benefit on a review. Reviewers must disclose a material personal, family, employment, or financial relationship with the coach.
What may be published
Reviews must describe the coach’s teaching, communication, preparation, professionalism, usefulness, or other relevant parts of the reviewer’s overall private coaching experience. Positive and negative experiences are both allowed; we do not reject a review merely because it is critical. We may reject or remove spam, impersonation, conflicts of interest, threats, harassment, discrimination, illegal content, off-topic claims, private information, or statements we cannot responsibly host.
Moderation and replies
New and edited reviews are held for moderation before public display. Instructors may post one professional reply. Reports are reviewed by an administrator and do not automatically remove a review. Moderation actions are recorded for accountability.
Corrections and withdrawal
The original private review link remains the reviewer’s management link. Reviewers can use it to correct or withdraw their one coach review; an edited or resubmitted withdrawn review returns to moderation, and a withdrawn review is removed from public totals. Resubmission reopens the same review rather than creating a second one. For a lost link or an appeal, email hello@linearbjj.com from the address that received the invitation.
Privacy
The reviewer's chosen display name, overall coach rating, review text, invited-student label, review date, and any instructor reply may be public. Email addresses, invitation tokens, and private relationship-verification records are not displayed publicly. The invited-student label means the coach and reviewer attested to a first-hand private coaching relationship; it is not an endorsement or a guarantee of results. See our privacy policy.
